  SPECTACULAR NEW PINOT FOR THE HOLIDAYS

After working with the Radian Vineyard for several years, it is a thrill to finally release our first vineyard-designated wine from this stunning property. Those of you who have visited our tasting room will recognize the Radian Vineyard from the mural that graces the wall behind our tasting bar. Friend and renowned photographer, Randy Leffingwell captured the beauty of Radian in his photography, and we hope to do the same in the bottle. The 2012 Radian Vineyard Pinot Noir has profound aromas and flavors, layered with complexity and incredible richness—sure to be a star at your Thanksgiving table or holiday event. Come taste it for yourself and join us this Saturday for a release celebration in our tasting room! Details below.

Thank you to everyone who attended the first wine dinner in our new tasting room last weekend. What a fantastic culinary adventure! It was great to reconnect with Chef Rick and we can’t wait to host our next wine dinner in 2016.

NEW RELEASE


2012 RADIAN VINEYARD
PINOT NOIR

One of the appellation’s most picturesque and coldest vineyards, this estate is located in the southwest corner of Sta. Rita Hills, unsheltered from direct exposure to cold winds and marine fog from the Pacific Ocean. Planted in 2007, Radian has quickly become one of the new superstars of the AVA. This debut vineyard-designate from Radian Vineyard is impactful and incredibly rich with aromas of dark plum, cranberry and black raspberry accented by hints of blueberry, toasted almond, nutmeg, fresh earth and a subtle stone component. Intertwined flavors of plum, black raspberry and cranberry flavors are enhanced by a touch of seashell, dark earth and white pepper, offering a continuum of complexity. The opulent texture is beautifully balanced by a gentle thread of acidity and supportive tannins, ensuring the wine will age gracefully for years to come. Only 203 cases made. Thanksgiving is almost here, which means the holiday season is just around the corner. We’d like to encourage you to shop early to ensure availability of our small lot wines and avoid express shipping charges.

Any of our Ken Brown wines can be packaged for gift giving. Your shipment will include festive holiday tissue and a personalized message at no additional charge. Simply request holiday packaging in the special instructions box and include your message. We are happy to fill gift lists for you as long as they are submitted by the deadlines below.

Order Deadlines for Christmas Arrival:
Thursday, December 10 by 5:00 pm for out-of-state orders
Monday, December 14 by 12:00 pm for California orders
Orders placed after these dates will be charged 2nd Day Air freight. Final day for all orders is December 18.

A special afternoon of wine and food pairings featuring 15 Sta. Rita Hills wineries (including Ken Brown) plus several restaurant partners, including Mastro's Steakhouse, Sadie Rose Baking Company and OC Donuts serving their signature wine-infused donuts. Held at the new Sub-Zero/Wolf luxury showroom in Costa Mesa.

November 21, 2015 – Pinot Days Southern California, Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles, 2:00-5:00 pm

“Pinot noir is way more than a grape variety - it's an art form.” Explore the stylistically diverse Pinot Noir grape at a gathering of 50 Pinot Noir producers from California, Oregon and New Zealand.
