' Joys of Spring! Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir & Sauv Blanc

NEW RELEASES

2016 VOGELZANG VINEYARD SAUVIGNON BLANC
This vineyard is situated in the “sweet spot” for Sauvignon Blanc in Santa Ynez Valley. Because of its location in the southeast corner of the valley, the morning fog burns off earlier than the rest of the area, providing longer and warmer days. This Sauvignon Blanc displays fresh, expressive aromas of white peach, honeysuckle and Meyer lemon with undercurrents of guava and gravel. The flavors echo the aromatics, with hints of pear and spice. The wine’s crisp acidity is beautifully balanced by a remarkable silky richness that frames the wine. Only 120 cases made.  More info

2015 STA. RITA HILLS PINOT NOIR
This wine is a beautiful overview of the Sta. Rita Hills, combining Pinot Noir from across the temperature zones of the appellation: 43% Rancho La Viña, 29% Radian, 23% Rio Vista and 5% Sanford & Benedict. Expressive aromas of black raspberry and cranberry are highlighted by hints of rose petal and pink peppercorn. On the palate, intense dark cherry and spice components give way to a velvety mid-palate and lush, lingering finish. The wine’s plush tannins and balanced acid profile suggest this Pinot Noir is poised to age gracefully for years to come. 473 cases made. More info

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our associate winemaker, Duncan Mark's Fight the Slides bicycle ride fundraiser.  Duncan made the 175-mile journey from Big Sur to Montecito over three days, March 24-26, and raised over $2,200 for fire and mudslide victims. We're really proud of him and grateful to all who donated!
