THREE TERRIFIC RELEASES TO START THE NEW YEAR
2013 RADIAN VINEYARD PINOT NOIR
 One of the appellation’s most picturesque and coldest vineyards, Radian Vineyard is located in the southwest corner of Sta. Rita Hills, unsheltered from direct exposure to cold winds and marine fog from the Pacific Ocean. The wine offers aromas of black cherry, raspberry and pomegranate with accents of wood smoke and roasted meat. An explosion of flavors includes hints of black raspberry and pomegranate with a touch of minerality and dark earth. The luxurious texture is richly layered, superbly balancing smooth tannins with a gentle thread acidity and setting the stage for outstanding aging potential. More info here.
 2014 STA. RITA HILLS PINOT NOIR
This wine is a beautiful overview of the Sta. Rita Hills, combining Pinot Noir from across the temperature zones of the appellation: 42% Rio Vista Vineyard, 37% Radian Vineyard, 16% La Encantada Vineyard and 5% Lafond Vineyard. Expressive aromas of dark cherry and black raspberry are highlighted by hints of stone, herbes de Provence and subtle French oak. On the palate, intense dark cherry and spice components give way to a velvety mid-palate and lush, lingering finish. The wine’s plush tannins and balanced acid profile suggest this Pinot Noir is poised to age gracefully for years to come. More info here.
 2015 SAUVIGNON BLANC
This wine hails from the outstanding Vogelzang Vineyard located in the Happy Canyon appellation of Santa Ynez Valley, where the warm days and gravely soils are perfect for growing excellent Sauvignon Blanc. The wine displays fresh, expressive aromas of white peach, passion fruit and melon with undercurrents of jasmine and flint. The flavors echo the aromatics, with hints of Meyer lemon, apricot and spice. The wine’s crisp acidity is beautifully balanced by a remarkable silky richness that frames the wine. Two days of in-depth tastings, seminars and gourmet food. Don't miss the Pinot by the Sea Grand Tasting on Saturday afternoon from 3:00-6:00 pm where Ken Brown along with 120 other producers of Pinot Noir will be showcasing their finest Pinots. Bacara chef Vincent Lesage will prepare Pinot-inspired appetizers and C'est Cheese will be on hand with their incredible cheeses. A silent auction will feature magnums, verticals and special bottlings.
