EXCEPTIONAL STA. RITA HILLS PINOT NOIR FROM THE 2009 VINTAGE
Deborah and I are very excited to release our 2009 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir—so excited in fact that we’ve opened a bottle or two for visitors in the past couple weeks and have been overwhelmed by the positive response! The wine has an incredible Sta. Rita Hills pedigree—50% from Clos Pepe, 40% from Rio Vista and 10% from Rancho La Viña. Its richness and impeccable balance make it an excellent food wine while ensuring great cellar potential in the years ahead.
I will be at the World of Pinot Noir event in Shell Beach, California this weekend and as of this writing, tickets for the Grand Tasting on Friday afternoon were still available. We also are hosting an Open House this weekend and will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Next month is the annual Santa Barbara County Vintners’ Festival on April 21 at The Carranza, a new venue. We will again host an Open House Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 20-22. Another new release is on tap for April so we hope to see you soon.
Cheers!

NEW RELEASE
This wine provides an excellent overview of the Sta. Rita Hills, combining Pinot Noir from all corners of the appellation: 50% from Clos Pepe, 40% from Rio Vista and 10% from Rancho La Viña. Beautifully rich, dark cherry aromatics are accented by hints of blackberry, subtle earth tones and spice. The mid-palate is exceptionally silky, providing a lush backdrop for the rich cherry flavors and touch of toastiness from French oak barrels. The wine’s complexity and density are complemented by a thread of natural acidity that culminates in a bright, lingering finish. 409 cases made. Click here for more details or to order.
