Winemakers only get one chance a year to practice their craft, and this year looks to be an excellent one. Harvest began on September 12 with Pinot Noir from Peake Ranch Vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills, and ended on October 30 with Syrah from Thompson Vineyard in Los Alamos Valley, for a total of 48 days. The harvest window was quite similar to the 2018 vintage. The previous four vintages from 2014-2017, however, all started in mid to late August and finished in September, likely due in part to drought conditions.
