NEW RELEASES

Pinot Noir label2017 SANFORD & BENEDICT VINEYARD PINOT NOIR
Planted by Richard Sanford and Michael Benedict in 1971, this vineyard is the birthplace of the Sta. Rita Hills appellation. Fruit for this Pinot Noir comes from vines planted in 2008 to the highly regarded clone 943. Displaying both power and elegance, the wine features rich aromas of ripe blueberry, red plum and brandied cherry accented by subtle notes of baking spices and rose petals. The plush mouthfeel gives way to vibrant flavors of Bing cherry, cranberry and blackberry cobbler with hints of dark chocolate and toasted marshmallow. Only 207 cases made.  More info.

2018 STA. RITA HILLS CHARDONNAY
This wine combines Chardonnay from three outstanding Sta. Rita Hills vineyards: 55% La Rinconada Vineyard, 33% Radian Vineyard and 12% Chapel Vineyard. Vivid aromas of white peach and Asian pear with hints of orange zest, vanilla and flint. A medley of flavors, including apricot, mango, key lime and honey are enveloped in an elegant texture that leads to a pleasing toastiness on the finish. Only 175 cases made. More info.

HARVEST 2020 KICKS OFF

In a year of so much uncertainty, it's reassuring to welcome the annual rite of the grape harvest. Harvest 2020 began on August 24 with 3.15 tons of beautiful Pinot Noir from Block 25 of the John Sebastiano Vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills. The soaring temperatures experienced across California on Labor Day weekend made their way to the normally cool Sta. Rita Hills as well and pushed grape sugars to perfect ripeness. Over 60% of our fruit has been harvested so far. Get all the details and follow the harvest action here.
